JRRMMC Department of Ophthalmology training program is special because we practice reciprocal interdependence. The output of each individual or critical area becomes the input of another. This allows for faster information exchange, decision making and empowerment, while promoting responsibility and accountability. As one becomes the enabler of the other, larger purposes are served in the pursuit of our vision and mission.

Since its establishment, JRRMMC Ophthalmology has demonstrated its strong commitment to its mission of providing affordable and excellent eye care to the Filipino people. The department has been a constant partner in nation building by training competent and ethical ophthalmologists serving in various parts of the country, many in underserved areas.
