The Cardinal Santos Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology is a PBO-accredited training program that has consistently produced leaders in the field—many of whom have become distinguished academicians, officers of the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology, and recipients of prestigious international research awards.

The department offers comprehensive eye care through the expertise of over 70 active consultant ophthalmologists. Residents are provided with extensive exposure and hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of ophthalmologic cases.

Our program is also home to several advanced fellowship training opportunities, including Vitreo-Retina Surgery, Glaucoma, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Oculoplastics, and Ophthalmic Pathology.

Equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical technology, the department ensures that its residents train with the latest innovations in the field. Our strong emphasis on research has led to numerous local and international accolades, reflecting the department’s commitment to academic excellence.
